are you actually trading meme coins durinf FED announcements?

Does anyone here actually trade meme coins during big Fed announcements or other major economic news? I always hear people say those days are extra volatile, but I'm not sure if that's an opportunity or just asking to lose money. Curious what more experienced traders usually do.

I usually sit those days out. Meme coins move fast enough on a normal day, and when big economic news hits, the price swings can get pretty wild. I've learned it's better to miss a trade than get caught in a move I can't react to.

From what I've seen over the years, big events like Fed announcements bring uncertainty to the entire market. Bitcoin and Ethereum usually react first, and meme coins often exaggerate those moves. I've tried trading them during news before, and unless you already have a solid plan, it's easy to get stopped out or buy into the hype at the worst time. These days I either reduce my position size or just wait for the market to settle before making any decisions.
