ETH quietly had a pretty interesting August

Bitcoin got most of the attention after its big August move, but ETH had a few things happening at the same time that caught my eye:
strong ETF inflows, continued corporate ETH buying, and more discussion around ETH as an institutional asset. I read somewhere that Bitmine alone added another 53,501 ETH recently and now holds close to 5.9M ETH.
I'm curious whether people see this as just money rotating from BTC into ETH, or whether Ethereum is starting to attract a different kind of institutional demand.

The Bitmine part definitely caught my attention too. 5.9M ETH is huge. But I'm wondering how much of that is really institutional confidence in Ethereum itself versus companies just wanting to hold ETH because they expect the price to keep going up.

Interesting point. 👀 ETH’s institutional demand does seem to be getting more attention beyond simple BTC rotation. The big question is whether these flows can remain consistent and support a sustained ETH trend.

Do you think ETH is entering its own institutional cycle?

The ETF side is interesting because it's easier for traditional investors to get exposure without dealing with wallets or the network directly. So maybe we're seeing two different things happen at once: financial demand for ETH and actual Ethereum ecosystem demand.

Yeah, and that's why I don't think the ETH story can be reduced to "Bitcoin went up, so altcoins followed." The institutional side seems to be developing its own narrative now.

So would it be fair to say ETH is becoming more of an institutional asset on its own, rather than just being the next thing people buy after BTC?
