BTC is near $80K again should I just hold?
I've been holding some BTC for a while and August was a much bigger move than I expected. Now that we're getting close to $80K, I'm honestly wondering whether I should just keep holding or take some profit.
I don't want to sell too early and then watch it run higher, but also don't want to give back a decent gain by doing nothing. 😅
What do you guys usually do in this situation?
I usually wouldn't sell everything just because it went up. Taking a little profit makes more sense to me, especially when there's a big level like $80K being watched.
As a general approach, holding is reasonable if your long-term thesis hasn’t changed. Taking partial profits can also help reduce risk without fully exiting. The key is having a plan rather than reacting to every move.
I think it helps to separate the decision into two questions: whether your long-term view on Bitcoin has changed, and how much of your current profit you’d actually be uncomfortable giving back. If the long-term thesis is still intact, holding can make sense, but taking a small portion off the table can also reduce the pressure to perfectly time the top. I’d rather make that decision based on a plan than on whether BTC is sitting near a round number like $80K.
