What changed your opinion about ICP?

I’ll be honest, I ignored Internet Computer for a long time. Most of what I heard was about the launch, the price drop, and people arguing whether it was overhyped. Recently I started seeing more conversations about the ecosystem and developers building on it, so I decided to look into it again. For people who have followed ICP for a while, what made you take it seriously? Was there a specific technology, update, or application that changed your view?

I was actually one of the people who ignored ICP after launch. At the time, the conversation was mostly about the crazy valuation and the price crash, so I assumed the project was finished. I didn’t look into it again until much later.

What changed my mind was seeing that the team was still building when the hype had completely disappeared. A lot of projects are everywhere during a bull market and then become quiet when attention moves away. ICP kept working on the network, and that made me curious enough to research it properly.

The part I find interesting is the approach of putting more of the application stack on-chain instead of depending on traditional cloud services. Whether that becomes a big advantage or not is still something the market has to decide, but I think the idea is worth paying attention to.

My biggest question is not whether the technology is impressive, it clearly is. The question is whether enough developers and users choose to build around it. That’s the part I’m watching now

I think this is where a lot of people misunderstand ICP. They either completely dismiss it because of the launch or only talk about the technology without looking at the adoption side.I’m interested, but I’m still waiting to see more applications that people use regularly. That’s usually the hardest part for any blockchain project.

I changed my view after looking beyond the price history. The growing ecosystem and continuous development made me pay attention.

I was definitely one of the people who wrote it off early. Looking back, I probably judged it more from the market reaction than from understanding the project itself.I’m not saying it will succeed, but I think it deserves a fresh look based on where it is today.
